It may be a light week for comics, but there’s enough going on to keep us busy over the next few days. But first, it’s new comic book day!

We are entering the third week of DC Comics’ new continuity – the INFINITE FRONTIER – and I think this is the week I’ve been looking forward to the most. Superman gets his own anthology series! It’s been a while since something like that happened! Superman: Red & Blue is an interesting artistic concept, highlighting the Man of Steel’s two primary colors on the page. More Superman is always better!

Speaking of more Superman, he is of course a member of the new Justice League, debuting today from writer Brian Michael Bendis. And so is Green Arrow!

The final piece of my Infinite Frontier pull this week is Nightwing. It seems as though the creative direction is finally putting Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon together, after teasing a deeper relationship in the months before KGBeast shot Grayson in the head, giving him amnesia. It’s a pretty good way to close out the trio of big purchases this week.

To keep up with what’s come before this week, check out my recaps of the first two weeks of Infinite Frontier books. Week 1 can be read HERE and Week 2 can be found right HERE.

As always, I’m buying my comics digitally, through Comixology. Most of the week’s new books are listed over at the PreviewsWorld website, though DC Comics’ new releases can be found on their own website. Let’s take a look at what I’ll be reading this week.

DC Comics
Justice League 59
Nightwing 78
Revolver
Superman: Red & Blue 1

DC Digital Comics
Challenge of the Super-Sons 8
Sensational Wonder Woman 11
Truth & Justice 10

When we’re done reading comics for the week, it’s time to turn our attentions to our screens! We have a new episode of the already-amazing SUPERMAN & LOIS CW show. We’ll have a review of that later today. Of course, on Thursday, we finally get to see the four-hour cut of Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE, which premieres on HBO Max. Hopefully, I can make it through the whole thing.

On Friday, we celebrate (?) the fifth anniversary of the movie that would have been the lead-in to Snyder’s Justice League: 2016’s BATMAN V SUPERMAN. But over on Disney+, Marvel Studios releases the first episode of its latest MCU series, Falcon & the Winter Soldier. How will it compare to WANDAVISION?

Over the weekend, Joe will be back with his latest selection for SONG OF THE WEEK. And finally, on Sunday night, WWE presents Fast Lane, the last Network Special before this year’s WrestleMania and the first to be shown on the Peacock streaming service.

What are you looking forward to this week? Let us know in the comments!
