I can’t believe we’ve already hit December. Only a few more weeks of 2021 are left before we turn the calendar to a whole new year of comics goodness.
It’s a pretty small week, highlighted for me by the release of Justice League Incarnate 1, which continues the INFINITE FRONTIER at DC Comics. President Superman of Earth-23 leads a multiversal team against Darkseid. And we get to meet the brand new character Dr. Multiverse from Earth-8. I hope there are charts.
DC may need that new Superman focus, as the original article is going up against Mongul on Warworld in the latest issue of Action Comics. With the 30th anniversary of the DEATH OF SUPERMAN on the horizon in 2022, there’s a lot of jabbering that the publisher might be looking to recreate that magic. Is this the story that (again) leads to Superman’s death? And if Superman dies (again), will we get a renewed focus on characters like Steel? So many questions.
As always, I’m buying my comics digitally, through Comixology. Most of the week’s new books are listed over at the PreviewsWorld website, though DC Comics’ new releases can be found on their own website. And the DC Digital Comics are available through DC Universe Infinite. Let’s take a look at what new comics I’ll be reading this week.
