It’s one of those dreaded “Fifth Weeks” – and a fifth Wednesday in a month generally means less comics for me to read. What can we expect over the week to come?
We finish off a jam-packed week with a little variety, with another day of three books with well-established characters from three different publishers – DC Comics’ The Flash, Archie Comics’ Archie and IDW’s GI Joe: A Real American Hero.
How about we start the work week with three books from three different publishers that have some odd stuff going on. Today focuses on Titans 2, Weird Detective 3 and Ghostbusters International 8.
As I made it in to work today, I saw that former wrestler and wrestling manager Harry Fujiwara, best known to generations of WWF Fans as Mr. Fuji, had died at the age of 82.
There’s no theme to the books I read last night on the train, I literally did “Eeny Meeny Miny Moe” to choose. So today we have Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps and Wacky Raceland.
Well, yesterday was National Equality Day, so let’s take a look at two books that feature strong women – Wonder Woman 5 and Batgirl 2 – and a team book that includes some strong women – Teen Titans 23.
We’ve got a new number 1 issue today and another Rebirth issue… Man, they are dragging out all of these new titles, aren’t they? It’s The Hellblazer 1 and Blue Beetle Rebirth 1 today on Subway Shorts!

A busy week put me a little behind schedule, but here we are to finish out last week’s reviews with looks at the World’s Finest – Superman and Batman – in their eponymous books. Both were released last week.
Well, it’s Monday, which means we take a break from looking at DC Rebirth-branded books. Today, we have one book from DC’s new Hanna-Barbera line and one book from Dark Horse. Check out Scooby Apocalypse 4 and Black Hammer 2!
It’s an Emerald Sunday for Subway Shorts, as we check in with the Green Lanterns and Green Arrow. One wraps up a story arc while the other is digging in deeper.
A couple of third issue reviews this week, as we look at the third issue of the new Nightwing and Justice League series.
