It’s finally starting to get cold outside. Thankfully, there’s a batch of new comics to keep me warm and cozy inside!

It’s a pretty light week this time around, which is nice since I’m still reeling from buying a whole mess of Christmas presents for the family this week. But quantity does not necessarily equal quality, though I guess we’ll see if that’s true once we do some reading. Each of DC Comics’ big stories gets two new issues this time around.

First up, we get two DEATH METAL tie-in one-shots. The latest Tales from the Dark Multiverse examines how FLASHPOINT – the event that set off the New 52 – would have gone down in a more twisted world (I’ll hold off on the “it was already pretty dark, no change needed” comments for a bit). If that wasn’t enough darkness for you, anthology book The Last Stories of the DC Universe will show the heroes of the DC Universe staring down the barrel of their last days.

Remember when comics used to be bright and cheery and could be read by children? Me neither…

Speaking of it being cold outside… Also on tap for this week is two issues in the month-long ENDLESS WINTER event from the publisher. The latest issue of the Flash comic sets the story in motion, while Superman gets a special to round out the second week of the story.

Let’s take a look at what I’ll be reading this week:

DC Comics
Dark Nights: Death Metal: The Last Stories of the DC Universe 1
The Flash 767
Superman: Endless Winter Special 1
Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Flashpoint 1
Wonder Woman 768

DC Digital Firsts
Injustice: Year Zero 12
Wonder Woman: Agent of Peace 20
