This Week’s Comics – March 27

Man, this year is flying by. The final week of March brings us a pretty big release as DC Comics celebrates 1,000 issues of Detective Comics this New Comic Book Day!

Good grief, this is going to be an expensive week, which may force me to sacrifice a couple of the new books I was hoping to try, including a comic book adaptation of the Netflix series GLOW from IDW and BAD LUCK CHUCK from Dark Horse.

DETECTIVE COMICS 1000 is the big deal this week, though, with the biggest price tag – $9.99 for a book detailing Batman’s 80-year history with contributions from basically everyone. Not to be outdone, Brian Bendis’ ACTION COMICS is leading up to the Leviathan story that’s hitting this summer.

We also have more BLACK HAMMER, TRANSFORMERS, HEROES IN CRISIS and HEX WIVES rounding out the amazing week for this new comic book day.

For a complete list of this week’s releases, remember to check out the Previews website. I’m purchasing all my books digitally through Comixology, but if you want to find your local comic shop, click here.

Let’s take a look at what I’m getting this week:

Bad Luck Chuck 1
Black Hammer: Age of Doom 9

Batgirl 33
Detective Comics 1000
The Flash 67
