An ominous, electronic tune for the dark corners of the world.
The newest track from Boy Harsher is both the sound of an underground 80s club and of the world frozen over. With a classic Depeche Mode atmosphere, it brings a sinister undertone to its earworm synth melodies. While it may be somewhat nostalgic, the sounds and production have a modern pulse that keeps the song from being just a throwback.
Part of what makes “Fate” work as well as it does is Jae Matthews. Her vocal glides over the dance beats, with ethereal whispers and sudden shrieks. Her voice is one you’ll want to follow, no matter what dark paths lie ahead.
