Your Vote Counts For Movies At Random!

It’s time to select the next movie for our new column, MOVIES AT RANDOM, and we’ve got a great selection this time around.

Four movies, picked at random, are vying for the chance to be the next movie I watch and recap here at The Casual Geekery. Let’s take a look at the four movies being included in this latest poll, along with the IMDb synopsis for each movie.

The Big Kahuna (1999)

On the last evening of a convention two seen-it-all industrial lubricant salesmen and a youngster from the research department gather in the hotel’s hospitality suite to host a delegates party. The main aim is to get the business of one particular big fish. When it becomes apparent that it is the lad who has developed a direct line to the guy, his strong religious beliefs bring him into sharp conflict with his older and more cynical colleagues.

Die Hard With A Vengeance (1995)

John McClane is now almost a full-blown alcoholic and is suspended from the NYPD. But when a bomb goes off in the Bonwit Teller Department Store the police go insane trying to figure out what’s going on. Soon, a man named Simon calls and asks for McClane. Simon tells Inspector Walter Cobb that McClane is going to play a game called “Simon Says”. He says that McClane is going to do the tasks he assigns him. If not, he’ll set off another bomb. With the help of a Harlem electrician, John McClane must race all over New York trying to figure out the frustrating puzzles that the crafty terrorist gives him.

Superman 3 (1983)

A wealthy businessman discovers the hidden talents of a mischievous computer genius. Ross decides to abuse his talents, in a way to help Webster with his plans for economic control. When the man of steel interferes, something must be done about Supes. When Gus’ synthetic Kryptonite fails to kill Superman, it turns him in an evil incarnation of his former self. The tar-laced Kryptonite pits man against himself, setting up the Clark vs. Superman battle.

The Wizard (1989)

Corey and Jimmy Woods are two brothers who are being separated due to their parents divorcing. Jimmy is a mentally unstable kid that has had problems ever since his sister died at a young age. One day, Corey discovers that Jimmy has a natural talent for playing video games. He is one of the best around, and the two journey to the West Coast to compete in a video game championship, but along the way, they must avoid the adults, who are trying to take Jimmy away.

We’ve got a couple of really good selections here – though I have a suspicion about which movie is going to win the popular vote. Remember to make your choice via the Poll Tweet, embedded here.
