It’s once again time to take a look at some of the trailers that catch my as we look to the future to see what will entertain us in the coming months.

We’re going to kick things off today with the trailer for ANNIHILATION, starring one of my favorite actresses, Natalie Portman, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The movie, directed by Alex Garland, is based on the first book of the Southern Reach trilogy and tells the story of a biologist who goes on a dangerous secret mission where the laws of nature don’t apply.

ANNIHILATION is set for release on February 22, 2018.

Next up is one of the more unsettling trailers we’ll include, THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER, starring Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman and Alicia Silverstone. Farrell plays a surgeon who is forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life starts to fall apart, when the behavior of a teenage boy he has taken under his wing turns sinister.

The film is set for limited release on October 20.

One of Agatha Christie’s most enduring stories, MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, is getting a remake, this time directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot. An eclectic cast, including Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Michelle Pfeiffer and Judi Dench, joins Branagh in the story of 13 stranded strangers & one man’s race to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS is set for a November 10 release.

I was 13 years old when the siege of the Branch Dividian compound happened, and now the 6-part TV miniseries, WACO, will tell the story. The series stars Taylor Kitsch, Melissa Benoist, Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo.

The series debuts in January on the Paramount Network.

Finally, if you want to see what NETFLIX has in store for us in October, you can check out the trailer they released hyping their new content next month.
