We may be geeks, but that doesn’t mean we don’t know how to create great things in the kitchen. Some of the best dishes can be made quickly and easily as long as you know what you’re doing. Let’s get cooking!
A quick and easy recipe that should give you a taste of some veggies and some protein, chicken broccoli Alfredo can be filling and delicious.
Before you start, make sure your oven is preheating to 375 degrees. Then, cut up your chicken – go with about a quarter pound or so per person – and put it over a low flame on the stove until the pieces are cooked through. While you’re cooking the chicken, you can start boiling your water. You’re also going to want to chop some broccoli.
Where was I? Oh, right… When the water boils, throw in your pasta and after a couple of minutes, put the broccoli crowns into the water with the pasta. When the pasta is just al dente enough and the broccoli has been cooked through a bit, remove the pot from the flame and drain the water.
Take a baking pan and spread a small amount of Alfredo sauce at the bottom, then put the pasta and broccoli in the pan. Add the chicken on top.
Take the rest of the Alfredo sauce and pour it over the contents of the baking pan. Then stir it all around, making sure it gets evenly distributed. Take a couple handfuls of grated parmesan cheese and some shredded mozzarella and sprinkle it over the top.
Put the baking pan in the preheated over and let the dish cook for about 10 minutes. Once the cheese is melted over top, you’ve got yourself a meal.
