With just about a month left until its theatrical release, it’s time for Warner Bros. to start promoting the hell out of what will hopefully be a big hit. And they did that during last night’s episode of Gotham!
The latest look at Wonder Woman continues to give me positive vibes and I think it’s going to be the best movie in the current DC Extended Cinematic Universe. Let’s take a look at what we saw during Gotham last night:
One of the biggest complaints about Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman was how dark the movies were, not just in tone but in both movies’ visuals. And while the Wonder Woman trailer features fight scenes in muted tones, it’s clear it’s done for a couple of reasons: 1) Man’s World is a drab and dreary place compared to the Paradise of Themyscira (It might just be London…) and 2) the muted tones really makes Diana’s glowing Golden Lasso pop when she uses it!
Plus! JOKES! Actual, honest-to-God humor was featured in the trailer, as Diana (Gal Gadot) interacts with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and Etta Candy (Lucy Davis). Much more promising than what we’ve seen before. I’m very excited to see what director Patty Davis does with the movie.
Wonder Woman comes to Man’s World on June 2.
