This may be one of the most varied weeks of books I’ve purchased in a while, and I’m ridiculously excited about what I’ve got on my iPad right now. Let’s take a look!

As usual, a full list of what publishers released this week can be found on the Previews website, and I buy my comics digitally every week from Comixology. But if you would rather get a physical copy, you can always use the Comic Shop Locator.

I just bought and downloaded 14 books this week, so I’m hoping we have a lot of quality along with the quantity. Let’s see:

DC Comics – Rebirth

Batman 8
Green Arrow 8
Nightwing 6
Superman 8

DC Comics – Other

Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love 1
Death of Hawkman 1
Everafter: From the Pages of Fables 2
The Flintstones 4
Future Quest 5
He-Man/Thundercats 1
Shade the Changing Girl 1

Dynamite Comics

The Shadow: The Death of Margo Lane 5

IDW Comics

Ghostbusters International 9

Image Comics

Moonshine 1

Highlights: A lot of first issues this week, as DC Comics kicks off a number of new books, both ongoing and miniseries. The art I’ve seen in previews of Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love is really beautiful. And the ridiculous fun that should come out of a He-Man/Thundercats mashup should be completely worth it. We also get the first issue of DC’s Young Animal imprint’s second book, Shade the Changing Girl.

I think the thing I’m looking forward to the most, though, is Moonshine 1, from Image Comics, reuniting the 100 Bullets team of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso. The book, set during Prohibition, follows a New York City gangster as he travels down to West Virginia to deal with a moonshiner.
