A rip-roaring rocker.
There are some songs that catch your ear as soon as they kick in. “Medium” by Tummyache is one of them. It’s filled with the best distorted guitar riffs this side of the 90s, the type with enough energy to force your body to move when you hear it. It’s an excellent dose of frustration let out in four minutes at full volume. That dissatisfaction is about an “inability to find a good happy medium between things. Whether it be emotions, motivation, depression/exhilaration, etc.”
Based on just one song, there’s a ton of promise to Tummyache, the project by Texan musician Soren Bryce. If you’re looking for an exciting new artist to follow before she even drops her debut EP, make sure to give this tune a listen.
“Median” is out now.
