For the eighth selection of our Movies At Random series, we have colorful costumes, clones and crazy people – oh my!
Four movies, picked at random, are vying for the chance to be the next movie I watch and recap here at The Casual Geekery. Let’s take a look at the four movies being included in this latest poll, along with the synopsis for each movie.
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) – With the third Avengers movie set for release in May, this sequel set the stage for a lot of the direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the last few years. When Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong and it’s up to Earth’s mightiest heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plan.
The Incredibles (2004) – I guess we’ll continue with the superheroes from a Disney subsidiary theme for one more option. It’s Disney and Pixar’s take on Marvel’s First Family, the Fantastic Four in this original – and entertaining film, written and directed by Brad Bird. A family of undercover superheroes, while trying to live the quiet suburban life, are forced into action to save the world.
Multiplicity (1996) – One of my favorite Michael Keaton movies. In this film directed by Harold Ramis, a man who never has enough time for the things he wants to do is offered the opportunity to have himself duplicated. And hilarity ensues!
Seven Psychopaths (2012) – This was a Christmas gift I received a couple of years back that I haven’t had the opportunity to watch yet. Maybe now’s the time. A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster’s beloved Shih Tzu.
Those are your options this time around. In our last poll, GODFATHER PART 2 got the nod, so we get two mafia movies in a row. Be on the look out for that later this week. For the latest poll, you can vote on the Casual Geekery Twitter page:
