It’s time to select the next movie for our new column, MOVIES AT RANDOM, and for the fourth time, we’ve got a great selection. What can I say, I have a great collection of DVDs and Blu-Rays.

Four movies, picked at random, are vying for the chance to be the next movie I watch and recap here at The Casual Geekery. Let’s take a look at the four movies being included in this latest poll, along with the synopsis for each movie.

Batman: Year One (2011) – Featuring the voice work of Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon, Eliza Dushku as Selina Kyle and Ben McKenzie as Bruce Wayne, this animated adaptation of the Frank Miller comic tells the story of a wealthy playboy and a Chicago cop who both return to Gotham City where their lives will intersect in unexpected ways.

Dogma (1999) – Kevin Smith’s fourth feature film. An abortion clinic worker with a special heritage is called upon to save the existence of humanity from being negated by two renegade angels trying to exploit a loop-hole and reenter Heaven. Starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Linda Fiorentino and Chris Rock.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) – A Blu-Ray I just got for Christmas. The surprise Marvel hit where a group of intergalactic criminals are forced to work together to stop a fanatical warrior from taking control of the universe. Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and the voice work of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.

The Negotiator (1998) – In a desperate attempt to prove his innocence, a skilled police negotiator accused of corruption and murder takes hostages in a government office to gain the time he needs to find the truth. Starring Kevin Spacey, Sam Jackson and John Spencer.
