In music, there’s nearly no bigger scene for rock than Austin, Texas. It seems like everyone is playing gigs on any and every street corner, trying to make it in the Live Music Capital of the World.
So it’s the ideal setting for Terrence Malick’s upcoming film, Song to Song. This drama finds Ryan Gosling and Rooney Mara starring as struggling musicians, who befriend a mogul played by Michael Fassbender and try to make it big.
Featuring a supporting role from Natalie Portman and a cast that includes Iggy Pop, Flea, Arcade Fire, Patti Smith, Florence Welch and many more artists, it looks to be the perfect film for music lovers seeking something more than a documentary or live concert.
You can check it out in theaters on March 17.
