It’s been a while since I’ve played a Tekken game. It’s been at least a few console generations, honestly, but this new gameplay reveal trailer makes me want to pick up Tekken 7.
Stepping right off the screen of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD, Negan and Lucille are ready to join the fight.
The video is a nod to the ultra-tense moment on the show when Negan revealed himself to Rick Grimes’ crew and chose one of them – Glenn Rhee – to make the ultimate sacrifice, choosing which Tekken character to beat the ever-living hell out of.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan on the show, is doing the voice again. And it’s not as perfect as his portrayal on the show, but it’s still pretty effective in this trailer. The gameplay looks fun, too, utilizing his barbed-wire covered baseball bat, Lucille to premium effect.
Negan is part of the second season pass for Tekken 7, which was released today.
