In honor of the upcoming wedding of Batman and Catwoman in BATMAN 50, let’s use this opportunity to watch some great (or not-so-great) Batman cinematic moments!
Four movies, picked at random, are vying for the chance to be the next movie I watch and recap here at The Casual Geekery. Let’s take a look at the four movies being included in this latest poll, along with the synopsis for each movie.
OK, so they weren’t picked at random this time around, but we’ll keep those times at a minimum. Let’s take a look at our Bat-contenders.
Batman Returns (1992) – The second and final Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman movie. When a corrupt businessman and the grotesque Penguin plot to take control of Gotham City, only Batman can stop them, while the Catwoman has her own agenda.
Batman: Year One (2011) – Wealthy playboy and a Chicago cop both return to Gotham City where their lives will intersect in unexpected ways in this animated feature with the voice talents of Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon, Ben McKenzie (Gotham’s Jim Gordon) as Bruce Wayne and Eliza Dushku as Selina.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012) – Christopher Nolan’s final Batman film. Eight years after the Joker’s reign of anarchy, Batman, with the help of the enigmatic Catwoman, is forced from his exile to save Gotham City, now on the edge of total annihilation, from the brutal guerrilla terrorist Bane.
The Lego Batman Movie (2017) – A cooler-than-ever Bruce Wayne must deal with the usual suspects as they plan to rule Gotham City, while discovering that he has accidentally adopted a teenage orphan who wishes to become his sidekick.
You’ve got a few days to head over to Twitter and vote, so you should do that! Votes posted in the comments section here also count towards the totals. PRINCESS BRIDE won the last poll, so look for that in the next few days.
We've been a bit behind at the Geekery, but let's get back on the #MoviesAtRandom poll horse! This time around, it's all about Batman, as we get ready for his upcoming marriage to Catwoman in the comics!
