Action Comics 1,000 comes out tomorrow, and in honor of this momentous occasion, we’ll be picking from four movies featuring the Man of Steel. Just don’t expect to find Man of Steel on the list.
Four movies, picked at random, are vying for the chance to be the next movie I watch and recap here at The Casual Geekery. This time around, I took movies that I own about Superman and picked four of them to put up. Let’s take a look at the four movies being included in this latest poll, along with the synopsis for each movie.
All-Star Superman (2011) – Based on the 12-issue series from DC Comics, written by Grant Morrison with art by Frank Quitely. After being poisoned by sun radiation, a dying Superman decides to fulfill his lifelong dreams while Lex Luthor has his own agenda.
Justice League (2017) – Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, and a group of emerging heroes to face an even greater enemy.
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (2006) – Superman agrees to sacrifice his powers to start a relationship with Lois Lane, unaware that three Kryptonian criminals he inadvertently released are conquering Earth.
Superman Returns (2006) – Superman reappears after a long absence, but is challenged by an old foe who uses Kryptonian technology for world domination.
You’ve got a few days to head over to Twitter and vote, so you should do that! Votes posted in the comments section here also count towards the totals. CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR won the last poll, because you all clearly hate me, so look for that in the next few days.
In honor of this week's #ActionComics 1000, the next Movies At Random poll is ALL ABOUT #Superman! Make your pick and decide which flick @stevenferrari will watch next!
