We now have a date to circle on our calendars for the release of the PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man game!
Developed by Insomniac Games, the upcoming Spider-Man game is one of the most anticipated games of the year. For me, it’s one of four games set for a 2018 release that I’m looking forward to buying. Two of them have already been released (BURNOUT PARADISE REMASTER and MLB THE SHOW 18), with two more still on their way (GOD OF WAR and this game). And now we now that SPIDER-MAN will be released on the PS4 on September 7.
The release date isn’t all we got today. A promo video for pre-order bonuses came along with the release announcement. Ordering the game early gets you a number of additional bonuses, like new costumes for Spider-Man, a spider-drone, PS4 themes and more.
We got a TRAILER for the game that showed off more gameplay back in October, and the game looks like it’ll be a lot of fun, reminiscent of the amazing video game adaptation of 2004’s Spider-Man 2, which for a long time was the best superhero game I’ve ever played. And of course, the game looks spectacular. Even the reimagined Spider-Man costume looks good, despite some Internet complaints about it.
New costumes will be revealed in the coming months and I’m sure we’ll find out even more about the game. I can’t wait.
