The announcement of the third set of DLC characters for Injustice 2 had a surprise for everyone – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be part of the roster, joining The Atom and Enchantress.

Video game publisher NetherRealm hasn’t shied away from including characters from outside the DC Comics Universe to pad out the roster of the fighting game sequel. The publisher’s other fighting game series, MORTAL KOMBAT, has been represented with Sub-Zero and Raiden. The Dark Horse Comics character Hellboy was also included in the game’s second fighter pack.

To round out the third fighter pack, Injustice looks at Dark Horse again to bring in the Heroes in a Halfshell themselves, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Let’s take a look:

The Turtles have been involved in a couple of crossovers with Batman over the last couple of years, so fans will now have the chance to actually pit Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo up against the best of the DC Universe.

The rest of the fighter pack are two characters that have had some live action representation lately: The Atom, who’s a lead character in the ARROWVERSE‘s Legends of Tomorrow, and the Enchantress, who was the villain in the Suicide Squad movie. The Atom will be the first character available, on Dec. 12.
