Let’s finish off the weekend with a look at the week that was and the things that are happening in the world.

Someone asked Chris McKay, who’s slated to direct the NIGHTWING movie for Warner Bros., why the flick about Batman’s first sidekick wasn’t discussed at San Diego Comic-Con.

Given how much has changed about the DCEU, I honestly forgot that a Nightwing movie was in the works. It wouldn’t surprise me if the rest of the SDCC planning committee forgot, too.

The sequel to the hit game, THE LAST OF US, may make its way through the ruins of Seattle, according to the current slate of Reddit rumors.

CASTING ROUND-UP: Jeff Ward has been cast for an unannounced role in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; Sydelle Noel – most recently seen in GLOW and soon to appear in Black Panther – has been cast as cop Samanda Watson on the next season of Arrow; Marwan Kenzari is in discussions to star as Jafar in Guy Ritchie’s ALADDIN (wait, what…?) while SNL’s Nasim Pedrad will serve as a handmaiden to Jasmine, in a role created for the project.
